Ingredients

  • ½ pound sweet potato (227 g)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ red onion
  • ½ avocado
  • 3 ounces 99% lean ground turkey breast (84 g)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin (1 g)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (ground spice) (1 g)
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt, nonfat (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons salsa (30 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Peel the sweet potato and cut it into cubes.
  2. Cook the cubes in a pot of water for 8–10 minutes, until tender.
  3. Finely chop the onion and dice the avocado.
  4. Heat a pan and cook the minced meat with the chopped onion, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper for 5–7 minutes.
  5. Place the sweet potato in a bowl and add the minced meat and avocado.
  6. Spoon the yogurt and salsa over the top.

1. Drizzle the bowl with some fresh lime juice and garnish with cilantro and chili flakes.
2. You can also microwave the sweet potato: pierce a few holes in it, cook for 5–7 minutes, let it cool, then cut into cubes.
