Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic (5 g)
- 1 carrot
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 3 ounces beef strips (84 g)
- 1 cube vegetable bouillon
- 1 ½ cup water (356 ml)
- 3 ounces spaghetti, whole wheat (84 g)
- 7 ounces broccoli florets (frozen) (196 g)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
Preparing this recipe
- Press the garlic and thinly slice the carrot.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef strips and cook for 3–4 minutes, until browned but not fully cooked. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the bouillon cube, water and spaghetti. Bring to a boil.
- Cook the pasta for 10 minutes. After 5 minutes, add the broccoli and carrot and return the beef strips to the skillet. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Check occasionally if the pasta is cooked and add a bit of extra water if it gets too dry.
- Stir in the soy sauce and mix everything well. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
Tip van FitChef
1. Craving more heat? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
2. Garnish with fresh cilantro for a bright, herby finish.
