Ingredients
- 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
- ½ onion
- 1 clove garlic (5 g)
- 8 ounces green beans (frozen) (224 g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 3 ounces 96% lean ground beef (84 g)
- ½ teaspoon turmeric (1 g)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (5 ml)
- 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)
Preparing this recipe
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
- Finely chop the onion and garlic. Slice the green beans into slanting thin slices.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the onion for 2 minutes, then add the garlic, ground beef and turmeric. Cook this until browned in 4 minutes. Then add the soy sauce, Sriracha, green beans and water. Let it cook on low heat for about 8 minutes, stirring regularly. If needed, add a dash more water. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the rice with the spicy ground beef and green beans.
