Ingredients

  • 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
  • ½ onion
  • 1 clove garlic (5 g)
  • 8 ounces green beans (frozen) (224 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 3 ounces 96% lean ground beef (84 g)
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (1 g)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (5 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Slice the green beans into slanting thin slices.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the onion for 2 minutes, then add the garlic, ground beef and turmeric. Cook this until browned in 4 minutes. Then add the soy sauce, Sriracha, green beans and water. Let it cook on low heat for about 8 minutes, stirring regularly. If needed, add a dash more water. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve the rice with the spicy ground beef and green beans.
