Ingredients

  • 3 ounces penne, whole wheat (84 g)
  • 1 clove garlic (5 g)
  • ¼ onion
  • 10 ounces spinach (280 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon oregano, dried (3 g)
  • 1 pinch chili powder (1 g)
  • ½ cube vegetable bouillon
  • 2 ½ fluid ounce water (75 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.  
  2. Mince the garlic, chop the onion and roughly chop the spinach.  
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the oregano and chili powder and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped spinach and stir until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Add the bouillon cube and water and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the pasta to the pan and mix well to coat it with the spinach and garlic. Serve warm.
