Ingredients
- ¼ onion
- 1 clove garlic (5 g)
- 1 carrot
- ½ tablespoon olive oil (8 ml)
- 4 ounces 96% lean ground beef (112 g)
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning (4 g)
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 ounce grated cheese (28 g)
Preparing this recipe
- Preheat the oven to 370°F (190 °C).
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Dice the carrot into small cubes.
- Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and carrot and cook for 2 minutes. Add the ground beef and Italian seasoning and cook until the meat is browned.
- Meanwhile, cut the bell pepper in half and remove the seeds.
- Place the bell pepper halves in a baking dish. Fill them with the ground beef mixture and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake for about 30 minutes.
