Ingredients

  • 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
  • 1 ½ cup garden peas (frozen) (391 g)
  • 3 ounces chicken breast (84 g)
  • 1 slice ginger
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (20 g)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (7 g)
  • 4 tablespoons water (60 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the rice and garden peas according to the instructions on the packaging.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into cubes and grate the ginger.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces in it for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the peanut sauce by stirring together the peanut butter, soy sauce, Sriracha, honey, ginger and boiled water in a small bowl. Pour this into the pan with the chicken pieces and heat it briefly.
  5. Serve the chicken satay with the rice and garden peas. Season with pepper and salt.
