Ingredients
- 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
- 1 ½ cup garden peas (frozen) (391 g)
- 3 ounces chicken breast (84 g)
- 1 slice ginger
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter (20 g)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (5 ml)
- 1 teaspoon honey (7 g)
- 4 tablespoons water (60 ml)
Preparing this recipe
- Cook the rice and garden peas according to the instructions on the packaging.
- Cut the chicken breast into cubes and grate the ginger.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces in it for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare the peanut sauce by stirring together the peanut butter, soy sauce, Sriracha, honey, ginger and boiled water in a small bowl. Pour this into the pan with the chicken pieces and heat it briefly.
- Serve the chicken satay with the rice and garden peas. Season with pepper and salt.
