Ingredients

  • 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
  • ½ chili pepper
  • 1 slice ginger
  • 3 ounces beef strips (84 g)
  • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil (23 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
  • ½ onion
  • 5 ounces mushrooms (140 g)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (frozen) (213 g)
  • 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the brown rice according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Finely chop the chili pepper and grate the ginger.
  3. Mix the beef strips with the chili pepper, ginger, oil and soy sauce and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Slice the onion into thin wedges. Slice the mushrooms.
  5. Heat the wok until very hot. Stir-fry the marinated beef strips, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and mushrooms, stir-frying for an additional 2 minutes. Add a splash of water and stir-fry the vegetables for another 2-3 minutes over medium-high heat until crisp-tender.
  6. Serve with the rice.
