Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 5 ounces chickpeas (140 g)
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil (23 ml)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (ground spice) (2 g)
- 1 slice bread, whole wheat
- 1 clove garlic (5 g)
- ½ cucumber
- 1 tablespoon yogurt, nonfat (15 ml)
- ½ tablespoon mayonnaise (8 ml)
- 2 squeezes lemon juice (10 ml)
- ½ teaspoon yellow mustard (3 g)
- 1 handful iceberg lettuce, shredded (30 g)
Preparing this recipe
- Cook the egg for 6-8 minutes. Rinse it with cold water, peel the egg and cut it into quarters.
- Rinse the chickpeas in a sieve with water, let them drain and pat them dry. Mix the chickpeas in a bowl with half of the oil and paprika powder.
- Heat a frying pan and roast the chickpeas for 5 minutes. Afterward, remove them from the pan and let them cool on a plate.
- Meanwhile, cut the slice of bread into cubes. Crush the garlic clove. Mix the bread in a bowl with the other half of the oil and the garlic. Make croutons from this mixture in the same pan.
- Slice the cucumber into rounds.
- Prepare a dressing by mixing yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice and mustard.
- Combine the lettuce, cucumber and chickpeas in a bowl. Distribute the egg and croutons over the salad.
- Serve the Caesar salad with the dressing.
