Ingredients

  • 3 ounces penne, whole wheat (84 g)
  • ½ onion
  • 1 clove garlic (5 g)
  • 5 ounces mushrooms (140 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 3 ½ ounce spinach (98 g)
  • 2 fluid ounces water (60 ml)
  • ½ cube vegetable bouillon
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, reduced fat (45 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried (2 g)
  • 1 ounce grated cheese (28 g)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the penne al dente according to the instructions on the package. Drain afterward.
  2. Chop the onion and press the garlic clove. Quarter the mushrooms.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Then add the spinach and cook until it wilts.
  4. Meanwhile, mix the hot water with the bouillon cube until it dissolves. Stir in the cream cheese and oregano.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the spinach and mushrooms. Heat until the sauce thickens. Stir in the penne. Season with salt and pepper. If needed, add a dash more water.
  6. Serve the pasta on a plate and sprinkle the cheese over the pasta.

2. It's also delicious with some chili flakes for extra spice.
