Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic (5 g)
  • ¼ onion
  • 6 ounces spinach (168 g)
  • 4 ounces lentils, canned (112 g)
  • 3 ounces penne, whole wheat (84 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • ½ cup water (119 ml)
  • ½ cube vegetable bouillon

Preparing this recipe

  1. Chop the garlic, onion and spinach finely. Rinse the lentils under cold water in a colander, letting them drain.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  3. Heat olive oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the spinach and lentils. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the spinach has wilted and the lentils are warmed through.
  5. Then add the water, bouilion cube and stir well. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the pasta to the pan and mix everything well so the pasta is coated with the spinach-lentil mixture.
  7. Serve the pasta warm.
