Ingredients

  • 3 ounces brown rice (84 g)
  • 2 ounces garden peas (frozen) (56 g)
  • 1 ounce corn (28 g)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 scallion
  • 1 clove garlic (5 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 3 ounces shrimp (frozen) (84 g)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (2 g)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the packaging until done.
  2. Rinse the peas and corn in a colander and let them drain. Wash the carrot, slice it and cut the slices in half. Cut the scallion into rings and finely chop the garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in a wok and add the carrot. Stir-fry for about 4 minutes. Then add the shrimp and garlic and stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Add the peas, corn, scallion and turmeric to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the rice and add it to the wok along with the soy sauce. Mix everything well and season with pepper and salt.
  5. Serve the rice dish on a plate.

To make this rice dish extra spicy, simply sauté a dried chili pepper for a moment.
